Fight Republic III, featuring up to 10 amateur MMA fights, features two brothers fighting for titles on Friday at the Harrah’s Reno convention center.
The two main event title fights feature Matt Lively, 25, of Susanville, who will face Memo Vazquez of Reno in a 205-pound fight, and Steven Lively, 21, also from Susanville, who will face Joey Angelo of Las Vegas in a 170-pound bout.
The other bouts already confirmed are: 182 pounds, Shawn Goode (3-2), Reno, vs. Daniel Reese, Reno; 160 pounds, Ryan McCarthy (2-1), South Lake Tahoe, vs. Adam Hill, Reno (debut); heavyweight, Matt McCrary (3-1), Reno vs. Chris Halloway (0-1), Reno; heavyweight, Phillip Wilson (1-2), Reno vs. Richard Vanderploeg (debut), Bridgeport, Calif.; and 160 pounds, Danielle Mack (debut), Los Angeles, vs. Veronica Rothenhausler (2-0), Reno.
